Today I’m going to test mobile networks in Sri Lanka. As you know these competitors are Dialog 4G, Mobitel 4G and Hutch 4G. They are fighting to be Sri Lankas’s number 1 service provider and here we tested the truth about their sayings. I’m going my results with lowest to highest. To see who has won skip to the end of the page(all the tests are made with same smartphone and same app with indoor with phone mounted on a stand.)
Our 1st contestant is HUTCH 4G (lowest speed)
To be fair for the HUTCH I have tested it in the 11.48pm. I have tested in day time and it was not a good result. So this is the best speed I got.
As Hutch dropped out and our main battle is Dialog vs Mobitel
1st Test Time around 12:00PM
Dialog 4G
Mobitel 4G
2nd Test Time around 8:00AM
Dialog 4G
Mobitel 4G
It’s no doubt the Mobitel is winner.
I push little harder to to find out and pit Mobitel with SLT Fiber. The time I got is Mobitel 8:56AM vs SLT Fiber 11:30PM (Sorry SLT, testing Fiber with hungry PeoTV lovers in around night and the morning is around 20Mbps to 50Mbps,
Mobitel 4G vs SLT Fiber
Mobitel 4G time 8:56AM
SLT Fiber time 11:30PM
I know this is not fair. The time and technology do not match but it’s just for to see the maximum speed we can get with those cable and wireless technologies. In the battle between cable and wireless, will it be the wireless (5G?) in the future? Will wired internet connections fade away as Landline Phones?
Mobitel is cheating bro..
mobitel 4G ookla speed is 2x higher in many areas than every file download..
and In many rural areas, mobitel 4G speed similar to dialog 3G.
Thank you so much bro. I’ve been searching this for long time. This helps me so much. Thanks a lot agin.
