Hutch CliQ 4G New Speed and GB Limit Test
We tested Hutch cliq app earlier in the 1st Covid wave and now almost a year after and still in lock-down like situation to the 3rd wave of Covid 19. Most of the people are staying at home and burning data as fire. This CliQ APP is a good alternative to save money. I’m a Etisalat CliQ user from the beginning to this day of the Hutch CliQ and Its 4G now.
In Hutch CliQ 4G Unlimited there are two types of CliQ 4G packages available at the moment and they published Fair usage policy for old cliq 4G but no data about 4G *New* Up to 20Mbps packages. We all know OLD Hutch CliQ 4G has data limit of 7 days 15GB, 15 Days 20GB, 30 Days 35GB,
I’m going to test 15 Days – 4G *New* Up to 20Mbps for LKR 694. All the tests are preformed with over 2 bars of signals and without background network activity.
Hutch CliQ 4G Activation Process Is very Easy. One thing to remember after I registered with cliq app 4g I had to connect to wifi network to access cliq app keep it in mind in the reactivation process.

This time is around 8PM the time between 6:00PM to 9:00PM is the peek hours (as according to my calculation ) and these times the surfing speed is usually between 1.5Mbps to 3.5Mbps. With these pandemic times most internet services are downgrading and slowing down the data speeds due to high demand. Dialog 4G is worst in these peek times and Mobitel 3G is the best of the all.
After one day of use I put the SIM in a mobile hotspot. I don’t want to ruin the phone and I wanted to check Fair Usage Policy limit while using and after 4 days pass at 30GB after I will update the details after it hit the FUP limit. I am using the hotspot as my daily driver and so far so good. Youtube works at 720P without any buffering and some times 1080p at off-peek times. Browsing works but some times it gets stuck need to refresh. The time most speed suffered is around 6:00PM to 9:00PM.

As you can see top of here off peek speeds are better if it’s available at the peek times. now after five days It hit 40GB and now its showing download speed 1.70Mbps and Upload speed 0.60Mbps You can see bottom here.

Conclusion
695/= X 2 = 1390/= (80GB 10days + FUP (125KB/s) 1Mbps x 20days 216GB = 296GB (in theoretical )
It should be around 40GB FUP for Hutch CliQ 4G unlimited 20Mbps 15 day package and after the FUP 3G and 4G speeds are the same and usually around 1.7Mbps but with that speed limit YouTube 480p watchable. Using Social media and web browsing are possible and all video content are limited to use around 480p limit. After FUP off peek time suffers more and most of the times around under 1Mbps. This is better than any other unlimited 1Mbps packages from Airtel, Mobitel, Dialog comparing price and torrent capability. Hutch CLIQ still has not banned Torrents. If you are a gamer (DOTA, CSGO, PUBG 150ms) it lags too much don’t use. It’s safe to say anyone can use this and the best highest GB per price package in the market. Even though they have improved I’m still using it as a backup after wearing off SLT fiber Data.
